Constantino Family Foundation Goes Live!
BURLINGAME, California – October 16th, 2023 – The Constantino Family Foundation announced today its establishment as a 501(c)(3) private non-operating foundation dedicated to providing financial support to Bay Area students in furtherance of their educational goals. The Foundation’s fundamental pillars are service, education, and community.
The Constantino Family Foundation has partnered with the University of San Francisco and the San Mateo County Community College District to fund two scholarships in memory of Paul J. Constantino and Thomas L. Constantino, respectively. “The Bay Area is renowned for its thriving tech industry and vibrant intellectual landscape. However, not all individuals have equitable access to quality education and the resources necessary for success,” said Board President Patrick J. Constantino. “The Foundation aims to address this by partnering with local schools to implement a multifaceted approach that includes scholarships and financial donations to the community.”
Philanthropy and support of education run deep in the Constantino family. Paul J. Constantino, the Foundation’s inspiration, developed educational programs for U.S. GIs during the Vietnam War, helping soldiers earn their GEDs while in service. Paul was a member of the College of San Mateo Faculty from 1975 to 1995. His twin brother, the late Thomas L. Constantino, served on the San Mateo Community College District Board, eventually retiring as President and Trustee Emeritus.
“The Foundation was established in honor of our late father, Paul Constantino, who was a longtime Burlingame resident and champion of education throughout his life. By continuing Paul and Tom’s legacy, we seek to foster a culture of service and inspire the next generation of leaders to contribute to their communities and their country,” said Paul’s son, Board Member and educator, Benjamin Constantino.
